This past Friday, January 8, the Barkley Ski Club went to Spring Mountain for their first or five ski trips this season. This is the third year for the club and it is definitely growing. This year we have about 45 students in the club. On our first trip the students learned the basics of skiing and snowboarding from the instructors at Spring Mountain. The students then were ready to ride the chair lift and practice their skills. As you can see everyone had a great time on the snow! A special thank you goes out our chaperones: Mr. Chadwick, Mrs. Huxta, Mr. Davido, Mr. Perez, and Mrs. Mills. We would also like to thank Brothers’ Bakery (Ocean City, NJ), Frees Insurance (Phoenixville, PA), and the Barkley Home and School Association for generously sponsoring the club again this year. Our next trip will be on Friday, January 22, 2010!
