From The Desk of Mrs. Karen W. Coldwell
Kindergarten Center

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Congratulations on the wonderful progress that your Kindergarten student has made over the first marking period in their social and academic development.  It is truly a pleasure to watch them grow on a daily basis.

The Kindergarten Center will certainly be alive next week with parent conferences and the Book Fair.  The conference time provides us with another opportunity to share your child’s progress on a personal level.  This shared communication helps to ensure student success.

Many thanks to Mrs. Ruth Groves, Book Fair chairperson, for organizing this event.  Thank you also to all of the parent volunteers who will help make this another successful Home & School activity and to our parents for their continued support of reading.

We will also have our Kindergarten Center Mitten Tree on display in the school foyer.  There are requests from needy families for the Holidays on the back of each mitten.  Wrapped gifts with mitten attached can be brought in and placed under the tree at any time.  Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.

Please remember to listen to AM radio, KYW 1060 under Chester County for Phoenixville School District #856 for early morning snow cancellations or delays, or log on to www.pasd.com for information.  Our telephone system (NTE) will also notify our families regarding weather or other emergency.  Please keep all telephone numbers up to date (home, cell, work).

Reminder:  Children should not be dropped off before school and left without parental supervision.

Please note:  The Kindergarten Center does not have a separate attendance line.  If you want to leave a message before or after hours, please call 484-927-5451.

Please look at the schedule for our Holiday Concert very carefully since this year they are on two separate days.  We would not want anyone to miss this wonderful event.  Please call the school if you need any clarification.

Thank you for your continued support.

                                                                             Sincerely,

                                                                             Mrs. Karen W. Coldwell
