Phoenixville: The 11th Annual Father’s Day Event is scheduled for Sunday, June 15th (rain date is Sunday, June 22nd) at Reservoir Park. Opening ceremonies begin at 11:00 a.m.
This annual community event is designed to celebrate fathers, promote family, and encourage community solidarity. Strong families are the lifeline for strong communities. Phoenixville Area Positive Alternatives (PAPA), Phoenixville Communities That Care, and the Phoenixville Area Recreation Department (PARD) sponsor this free, family-oriented event featuring rides, music, vendors, food, and fun. Phoenixville Communities That Care will announce the Father of the Year 2008. The award is based on essays written by Phoenixville’s elementary school children. The inaugural basketball game for the PAPA/PARD Summer Basketball League will also take place.
