East Pikeland Principal Commendations


 

THANK YOU

 

To Mrs. Meg Reed and Mrs. Katie Simons for their hard work in organizing our Spring Book Fair and to all of the parents who volunteered to be here during the week so that our students could shop and purchase books.

 

To Mrs. Denise Ackroyd and the parent volunteers who are here every Market Day to unload, organize, and distribute the food.  To all of the families and friends of East Pikeland who support Market Day and help raise money for Home and School and School programs and activities.

 

To Dr. Troy Czukoski for taking the time to speak to our parents about life at the Middle School and helping to ease the transition to Middle School for our 5th grade students and their parents.

 

To all of the second grade teachers and parents for their support of our second grade students as they prepared and practiced for their musical, Go Fish.  Thank you to the parent volunteers who spent hours working on the magnificent costumes, scenery, set, and props.

 

To Mrs. Nancy Wissman for planning an outstanding Author’s Day for our students.  To Mr. Brod Bagert, out guest author and poet, for his lively presentation about poetry and the writing process.

 

To everyone involved in the planning, preparation, and work that made our annual Senior Family and Friends’ Day enjoyable for our guests and everyone here at East Pikeland.

A special thank you to:

 

            Mrs. Linda DeLeone, Chairperson, for organizing all of the volunteers and every aspect of the day.  A special thank you for the attention given to the garden, decorating, and preparing the door prizes which added to the spirit and excitement of the day.

 

Mrs. Becky Anderson for her work on the garden and for organizing the luncheon for our staff and guests.

 

            The many parents who were here throughout the day to greet our guests and to help with registration, raffle tickets, and student lunches.

 

            The K-Kids, who escorted our guests to the classrooms and who helped with a variety of jobs in preparation for the day.

 

            The East Pikeland families who prepared the refreshments and to Mrs.Shawn Rogers and the parents who were available all day in the kitchen making sure that the coffee and snacks were available for our guests.

 

 

            The parent volunteers and staff members who helped with the decorations.

 

            The Kiwanis Club members for their support and their willingness to do a variety of jobs throughout the day and for being senior friends to our students.

 

           

            The East Pikeland Township Police Officers for their help with traffic flow and parking.

 

            Mrs. Janine Fedick for printing the program of events.

 

            Mrs. Kelly Staszak for her preparation of our talented student singers and Mrs. Garaitonandia for her assistance in teaching our students the Spanish they needed for their performance.

 

            To Mr. Tom Ramsey and Mr. Joe Motzer, from Phantom TV for being here to tape our student performers and making it possible for our EP Families to enjoy the day’s entertainment.

 

            The East Pikeland staff and students for preparing the classroom activities for our guests.

 

To Mrs. April Skomsky for her efforts to plan the Night at the Reading Phillies for our East Pikeland Families.

 

To Mrs. Jill Bowman, Mrs. Jennifer New, and the parent volunteers who organized and were here for our final RIF Distribution of the year and to Mr. Blair Beard from Air Ventures for his presentation on Hot Air Ballooning.

 

CONGRATULATIONS

 

To Miss Kelly Staszak and the second grade students on their very successful second grade musical, Go Fish.  

 

To Tara Gilroy, Teddy Moore, and Lindsey Smith who represented East Pikeland at this year’s Elementary Song Fest sponsored by the Pennsylvania Music Educators’ Association and to Miss Staszak whose hard work in preparing the students enabled them to enjoy a successful concert.

 

To the 116 4th and 5th grade students who received A/B letters for their outstanding 3rd quarter report cards.
