Schuylkill Elementary
Code of Conduct
The goal of Schuylkill Elementary School’s Code of Conduct is to create a positive educational climate and culture for all children in our school. It is expected that Schuylkill Elementary School be a place where teaching and learning occurs in a respectful and nurturing environment. At Schuylkill, everyone will follow the Code of Conduct.
I will treat everyone with courtesy and respect.
I will treat personal and school property with respect.
I will create and maintain a positive and safe environment.
I will come to school prepared for learning.
I will act responsibly and accept consequences for my actions.
I will help everyone in this school feel capable, connected, and contributing.
If a student breaks the Code of Conduct, consequences will be taken based upon the school wide discipline program. Each teacher will have a set of colored cards that equate to a level of behavior. The cards visibly remind students of their behavior and when correction is necessary. There are four levels of color, Green, Yellow, Orange, and Red. Students begin every day on Green.
Green Keep up the good work. Your behavior is a
model for everyone to follow.
Yellow Warning, you are slipping. Make positive
corrections to your behavior.
Orange Unsatisfactory, you may receive a teacher call
home, or lose privileges such as recess time.
Think about your behavior. Tomorrow is a new
day.
Red Unsatisfactory, you will be sent to the assistant
principal or principal. Your teacher or the
assistant principal will call home. A formal
conference to discuss your behavior may be
necessary. Think about your behavior.
Tomorrow is a new day.
Most students are well behaved and are encouraged to model appropriate behavior. At times, reminders and/or corrective measures are necessary. Our goal is to reinforce positive behavior and make Schuylkill Elementary a safe place to learn and grow.
