Skyward FAQ:

1. What are the system requirements?  System requirements for using Skyward including supported web browsers and recommended screen resolution may be found using this link provided: System Requirements

2. Can I change or add an email address?  Yes, after logging into Skyward, select the Account Info link in the upper right corner of the webpage.  You will see three links on the right, click on the link that says, “Change My Email.” This will allow you to receive emails from our automated phone system and to retrieve your forgotten username and/or password. 3. 4. 5. Can I retrieve my password and/or login name if I have forgotten what they are?  Yes, you can go to the Skyward Login page and click on the “forgot your login or password” link. Your logon information will be sent directly to your e-mail account.

6. I’m having difficulty logging in. Is my account information correct?  The default login convention is the first five characters of your last name followed by the first three characters of your first name and three zeros.  If your last name is only three or four characters long, you will have to substitute the five character convention with spaces.  For example, if your name is James Bond, the log on convention is BOND<space>JAM000.  It will appear as BOND JAM000.  If your last name only has three characters, for instance Casper Boo, the log on will be BOO<space><space>CAS000, which will appear as BOO  CAS000.

7. Why am I receiving a message about a certificate?  In order to ensure a secure connection between parents and guardians and the Skyward grade book, we have implemented the same security used by websites that accept credit card information.  If you look at the web address, you will see “https.”  If you are receiving the error message about a certificate, please ensure you are using the newest version of your web browser.

8. How do I see future assignments and tests?  After entering Skyward, click on the Gradebook link.  This will give you a list of classes and grades.  Click on a grade, and a new window will open displaying details about the selected grade.  Future assignments and tests will be listed with previous assignments and test grades.

9. I have multiple children.  Do I need multiple accounts?  If a parent/guardian has multiple children attending Phoenixville Area School District schools, all student grade books will be displayed under a single parent/guardian account.

10. What information is available through Skyward Family Access?  Student attendance and grading information is available to parents/guardians of students in grades 1-12.  Kindergarten data is limited to attendance only.

13. Who can I contact with an issue?  Questions concerning grade book scoring or assignments should be directed to the child’s teacher.  Questions, problems and suggestions regarding the Skyward Parent and Student Access application should be directed to Skyward@pasd.k12.pa.us.
