 Dear Parents/Guardians:

When it snows, you can hear school closing or late opening information on KYW, 1060 on AM radio.  Phoenixville Area School District’s number is 856 under Chester County.  Most of the TV stations also give this information.

You can also get notice from the School District directly in your e-mail.  Go on the district web site at www.pasd.com and click on Get School Closing Information Fast for directions how to sign up for this service.  The district also provides an automated calling system which will inform parents of school closings, delays, and any school emergencies.  Please keep your information (home phone, cell phone, and work phone numbers) updated in our office.

On the reverse side of this letter is the modified schedule for days that have a two hour delay due to the weather or other emergency.

 The Kindergarten Center uses a modified Kindergarten schedule for days that have a two hour delay due to a weather or other emergency.  Kindergarten class times will be as follows:

                        A.M. Classes             10:30 am – 12:15 pm

                        P.M. Classes             1:30 pm – 3:15 pm

                        Full Day Classes       10:30 am – 3:15 pm (lunch is served on these days)

Please follow the schedule below for Kindergarten students.  Keep this schedule for the school year.

            AM students (10:30 – 12:15):     

                        Walkers/Car Riders:             Drop Off at 10:30 AM

                                                                        Pick Up at 12:15 PM

                        Bus Riders:                            Pick Up – 2 hours later than normal

                                                                        Drop Off – 1 hour later than normal

(Example: Your child is normally picked up at 8:15 AM, he/she will be picked up at 10:15 AM; if your child is normally dropped off at 11:35 AM, he/she will be dropped off at 12:35 PM)

            PM students (1:30 – 3:15):

                        Walkers/Car Riders:             Drop Off – 1:30 PM

                                                                        Pick Up – 3:15 PM

                        Bus Riders:                            Pick Up – 1 hour later than normal

                                                                        Drop Off – Normal time

(Example: Your child is normally picked up at 12:10 PM, he/she will be picked up at 1:10 PM)

            Full-Day students (10:30 – 3:15 – Lunch will be served on these days):

                        Walkers/Car Riders:             Drop Off at 10:30 AM

                                                                        Pick up at 3:15 PM

                        Bus Riders:                            Pick Up – 2 hours later than normal

                                                                        Drop off – Normal time

(Example: If your child is normally picked up at 8:15 AM, he/she will be picked up at 10:15 AM)
