Mr. Rodenbough is a GuidanceCounselor with thirty eight years of experience in working with high school students. He graduated from Juniata College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and then received a Master of Education Degree in Counseling from West Chester University. In addition to his regular Guidance duties of college counseling, career planning, scheduling, personal counseling, registering new students, etc., he is the Coordinator of the Advanced Placement Examination Testing Program and the Montgomery County Community College/ Phoenixville Area High School Dual Enrollment Course Program. He also co-cordinates the Internship Program and Work/Study Programs here at PAHS. |

Mrs. Wiegand joined the Guidance Department in 2004. She earned a Bachelor of Biological Science Degree from Rowan University and a Masters of Secondary Couseling Degree from Eastern University. Prior to joining the Guidance Team she taught Biology at Winslow High School, was a behavorial Interventionalist at Radnor Elemenatary School and performed Bio-Psychosocial evaluations at Eugenia Hospital.She is responsible for Scholarship Information, Graduation Awards, Career Speakers and helps to coordinate with PSSA, 4 Sight testing and the College Fair. She lives in Berks County with her husband, son and 2 bullmastiffs. |

Ms. Judy Ishler

Ms. Ishler joined the guidance staff at PAHS in 1997. Prior to 1997, she taught Family and Consumer Sciences at PAMS for 9 years. Ms. Ishler received her BS degree from Mansfield University in Home Economics Education. She earned her M.Ed. in Technology in Education at Rosemont College and M.Ed. in Secondary Counseling at West Chester University. In addition to her regular counseling responsibilities, Ms. Ishler serves as Test Supervisor for SAT and PSAT programs and as SSD (Services for Students with Disabilities) Coordinator for the College Board. She is also a member of the IST/RtII team, serves as the CAT liaison, and co-coordinates the Internship Program and Work/Study Program here at PAHS.

Ms. Scerbo joined the Guidance Department in 2005. She earned a Bachelor of Science from University of Delaware and a Masters in Education with a concentration in secondary school counseling from West Chester University. Although Ms. Scerbo was originally hired to run the Internship Program, she now has a full caseload of students. She is also responsible for PSSA and 4 Sight testing, the College Fair coordinator for the High School, a member of the Student Assistance Team and is co-advisor for the Class of 2010.

Mr. Edward Yeager –Attended Shippensburg University where he graduated in 1991 with a BS in Secondary Education Social Studies. After graduating, he taught Social Studies with the Genesis Alternative Program at Upper Merion Area High School for five years and moved into an administrative position and accepted the job of Director of that Program. During that time Mr. Yeager coached freshman football and freshman baseball while taking classes at West Chester University in pursuit of a MSED in Secondary Education Guidance. Currently Mr. Yeager is responsible for educating all high school students and their parents concerning the NCAA Clearinghouse as well as supporting Freshman transitioning from the Middle to High School and running Guidance Groups.
