National Fame TSA Champions!Celebration of Success: Phoenixville Students National Champions

Atlanta, GA- Leah Kerry and Ashley Yang have been named the national champions for middle school STEM animation at the 2018 National Technology Student Association (TSA) Conference.  The conference was held from June 22nd to 26th at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.  Leah and Ashley’s animation, titled “Illegal Logging” placed first among contestants in their category from across the country.  Approximately 8,000 middle school and high school student members attended the conference.  In all, six Phoenixville Middle School students attended the national conference after qualifying during the state conference in April. They competed in events ranging from Micro Controller Design and Junior Solar Sprint to Coding and STEM Animation.  More than 250,000 TSA student are members in schools across the United States.  

This year’s conference theme was a “A Celebration of Success,” as TSA marked its 40th anniversary of enhancing personal development, leadership, and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). We are all so proud of the students who represented Phoenixville with such hard work and success. What a great accomplishment!  TSA members include:
