Dear Parents and Guardians,
The Administration has been hard at work preparing for the 4th marking period. Earlier in the week I shared that we had received notice from the Chester County Health Department (CCHD) about changes to their recommendations for physical distancing in schools.
Based on this new information, PASD administration may make new recommendations to the Board of School Directors for their consideration. One of the possible changes would be the expansion of the number of days all students can attend in-person to 5 days each week for 4th marking period.
We respectfully are asking all parents/guardians to complete the Parent Survey below by 4:00 pm on Monday, March 1, 2021. We are asking everyone to answer two simple questions for each child in your household:
1.
If the Board votes to continue the current hybrid/in-person instruction model (2 days per week for in-person/
6-foot distancing) would you choose in-person or virtual instruction for your child?
2.
If the Board votes to have in-person instruction 5 days a week/3 – 6-foot physical distance, would you choose in-person or virtual instruction for your child?
Please note: this is NOT a commitment!! After the Board decides on this matter, we will ask you to make a final selection.
In both models, students will stay with their current teacher(s).
Any new recommendations would be scheduled for initial presentation at the March 2nd Board Curriculum Committee Meeting begins at 6:30 PM.
