Informações de teste PSSA

Dear PAMS Families,

We will be administering the PSSA this year.  All PAMS students will be taking the English/Language Arts and Math portions of the assessment. Additionally, eighth graders will take the Science assessment.

Should you desire to review the test materials to opt your child out for religious reasons, please telephone my office to schedule an appointment at 484-927-5200. Test reviews require the signing of a confidentiality agreement. The tests will be available for preview on May 10 – May 14.

Parents/guardians who wish to opt out their child for reasons other than religious, should visit the district assessment page. There you will find a parent opt out form. All exemptions must be received by May 14, 2021.

Parents may help students prepare for the assessment by encouraging them to get plenty of sleep the night before and providing them with a good breakfast on the morning of the assessment.  Also, parents can reassure their students that the assessment gives them an opportunity to demonstrate their learning and helps teachers to plan the best possible instruction for them.
