Dear High School and Middle School Parents,
This letter is to inform you that the PAHS and PAMS Holiday Choral Concerts scheduled for this week 12/21 and 12/22 have been moved to a virtual format. We will be recording the concerts during the school day and airing them at 7:00 pm on their respective scheduled days via Phantom TV (Channel 28 on Verizon and Comcast) and
livestreamed on our website.
Unfortunately, we have seen a dramatic rise in the number of COVID cases in the area and more specifically in the District. Even with restricted audience numbers, we anticipated several hundred people in the auditorium for the concert. This was an extremely difficult decision, but the increased infection rate is concerning, and we felt we must error on the side of caution.
We know you are disappointed, and we are disappointed too. The students and our music teachers have worked hard to prepare for this concert. While we realize watching it virtually will not be the same as seeing it live, we do hope you will plan to enjoy the beauty of the music and the season.
Everything we do is part of an ongoing effort to maintain a school environment that protects all our students, faculty, and staff to the best of our abilities. We realize not everyone will agree with this decision, but we hope you understand it was made with caring and concern for the welfare of all.
