The PASD Virtual Academy is an exciting choice for those students and families who prefer the option of online learning. All that you already know and trust about a Phoenixville education is now available.
The Phoenixville Area School District has a long history of designing our educational programs to best meet student needs. With the addition of a fully integrated online learning option, we are providing families with flexibility and a choice… attend our top-ranked schools in person OR join our Virtual Academy. Either way, you will receive a high-quality education designed to fit the needs of your child and family.
Every measure for all 15 of Pennsylvania’s cyber charter schools shows them lagging well behind traditional public schools in state assessments, graduation rates, Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP), and state performance rankings. The PASD Virtual Academy is a part of our district infrastructure and an important part of the “Phantom Phamily”.
The PASD Virtual Academy builds on all of the things we have learned from our experience during the COVID 19 pandemic. We are partnering with Brandywine Virtual Academy (BVA) and are committed to ensuring all students receive the best possible education whether they are attending in-person or virtual.
Students enrolled in PASD Virtual Academy will have access to all of the services available to those students attending in person. These include athletics, award-winning music and theater programs, extra-curricular activities, and student support and counseling services. In addition, all PASD Virtual Academy students will receive a PASD diploma and participate in graduation ceremonies with all of their Phoenixville classmates.
Students who may be considered for participation in the PASD virtual program are those who have demonstrated skills and competencies to be successful in a virtual environment. This includes students who are in good academic standing and have met school expectations of regular attendance.
Guardians who wish to inquire about the virtual learning program for their students should contact their school counselor.
PASD recognizes that asynchronous virtual learning requires dedication and commitment to a routine of schoolwork completion.
