Phoenixville Area School District (PASD) is a top-rated, public-school district located in Phoenixville, PA. The Phoenixville Area School District is located in beautiful Chester County, bordering historic Valley Forge National Park. Once a major steel town, Phoenixville has experienced a rebirth in the past decade, and now consistently can be found on Top Ten lists of Best Pennsylvania Cities (Movoto) and Best Places to Live in Pennsylvania (Philadelphia Magazine).  The Board is looking for an innovative leader who is committed to providing a superior education for all students to maximize their unique potential to become lifelong learners and productive, responsible citizens.

Specific desired leadership characteristics and qualifications are expected to be available and posted on or around May 12, 2023. Candidates must have or be immediately eligible for a PADOE Superintendent Letter of Eligibility 90. A multi-year contract will be offered. Salary in the range of $270,000 depending on actual qualifications, experience, and subject to negotiations. All interested candidates should apply through the link on this website. Engage Phase

• The Engage phase consists of designing and planning a process of engaging the Board and stakeholders through interviews, online surveys (available in world languages), and focus groups. Information from these interactions assists the Board in developing a leadership profile and selection criteria that match the priorities of the community and that meet the unique needs of the local district.

• The Recruit phase consists of leveraging HYA’s national network of Associates and incorporating advertising strategies, and proactive recruiting that results in the identification and recruitment of exceptionally talented leaders who would be a good fit for the Phoenixville Area School District.

• The Select phase consists of providing the Board with a slate of candidates using the Leadership Profile established by the Board. HYA Associates work to bring the right candidates, and then facilitates the Board interviews and appointment process.
